چکیده:

In this paper, the influence of incident light polarization on transmitted and absorbedpower of Rhodamine B dye solution with and without gold nanoparticles is investigated. Experimentalresults showed that the polarization angle has an important role in variation of dye’s optical characteristics. Because ofthe polarized incident light and dye’s dipole moment at 0 and 90° polarization angles are not orientated, maximumtransmission and minimum absorption of dye is occurred. However, minimum transmission and maximum absorptiondue to the orientation of the dipole moment of dye molecules with the incident polarized light, at 45° angle, can beobserved.
