چکیده:

The emergence of tissue engineering has increased the demand for a various set of biomaterials to support the development of tissues in vitro prior to implantation in vivo. Due to slow degradation of PCL, it is ideally suitable for long-term delivery extending over a period of more than one year. The aim of this work is to prepare nanocomposites based on PCL and PLLA/Triclosan nanoparticles with the antibacterial ability and enhanced mechanical properties for soft tissue engineering uses. Different content of nanoparticles (1-10%) were added to the PCL matrix inorder to give antibacterial property to matrix. Adding PLLA in the nano scale into PCL matrix improves the mechanical propeties of nanocomposites without decreasing the PCL toughness.Also, due to high crystallinity of PCL, it is expected to form a nanocomposite with more controled drug release and slower degradation rate compared with the PLLA scaffolds. The obtained composites will be an appropriate candidate for soft tissue engineering.
