چکیده:

Titania nano powders with high Photocatalytic activity are prepared from titanium alkoxide dissolved in alcohol and water under acidic conditions. The effects of the key parameters, including (alkoxide/water) ratio, (alkoxide/alcohol) ratio, precursor type, solvent type, type and concentration of stabilizer, calcination temperature, presence of methylcellulose(MC) and use of hydrothermal treatment on the degradation percent of Methylene blue(MB), through an experimental design technique. The study highlights the role of stabilizer type, MC, hydrothermal treatment, solvent and calcination temperature on degradation of MB. The particle sizes of the samples were between 5.6 and 12.9 nm. All samples have anatase XRD diffraction patterns.
