چکیده:

Rhodanine is a less-known conductive polymer, which due to owing strong metal binding sites (nitrogen, sulfur and oxygen) in its monomeric unit, has potential application in various field. In this research CNTs/Polyrhodanine nanocomposites were synthesized by chemical oxidative polymerization of rhodanine monomer at the carbon nano tubes surface, in presence of Potassium permanganate (kmno4) as an oxidant and Poly (Vinyle Plorridone) (PVP) as surfactant. characterization of CNTs / Poly rhodanine nanocomposites were conducted using the fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), which is confirmed that the chemical oxidation polymerization of CNTs/Poly rhodanine was successfully performed and polymer chain formed on surface of CNTs. which is later indicated clearly by scaning electronic microscope ( SEM ) in which pictures show that smooth surface of CNTs (diameter: 10–20 nm) turns into rough structure and its diameter increases to around 60 nm ,which can attributed to the Poly rhodanine on CNT surfacese
