چکیده:

In this paper, an antisolvent precipitation method employed to prepare nanoparticles of Indomethacin as a model of a poorly water soluble drug substance, using acetone and mixture of ethanol and acetone as solvents. The experiments carried out with variation of concentration of drug in the solution and the product of each experiment were then analyzed using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Increasing the concentration of drug in acetone and mixture of ethanol and acetone from 10 to 50 mg/ml result in particle size reduction from 98 to 77 nm and 114 to 61 nm, respectively and is accompanied by an aggregatation in drug particles that is begun in lower concentrations for mixture solvent in comparision to other solvent
