چکیده:

Natural Clinoptilolite zeolite (NZ) supported iron catalysts were prepared by two different methods, wet ion exchange (WIE) and solid state dispersion (SSD), and catalytic performance was studied in the degradation of expanded polystyrene waste (EPS). The degradation was carried out in a batch reactor with a mixture of PS and catalysts at 400℃. It was found that the modified iron based catalysts with potassium showed excellent catalytic performance as compared to non-modified iron based catalysts. The synthesized catalysts were identified by XRD, SEM, and EDX techniques.Analysis of the formed products through GC-MASS and GC was conducted.
