One-dimensional (1D) TiO2 material in the form of nanorods were grown by template-based route using a combination of sol-gel and electrophoretic deposition methods. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) analysis confirmed that a full conversion of precursor was obtained, resulted in formation of TiO2 particles. Dynamic light scattering (DLS) method revealed that the average particle size of TiO2 in the sol was 15 nm. Field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) images showed that the nanorods had a uniform diameter of 180 nm.throughout their entire length, with a surface that is smooth over all of the length. Moreover, x-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis revealed that crystallization of nanorods occurred at the low temperature of 100ºC.
