چکیده:

In this paper, the lighting system of eight main buildings of a research complex in Karaj, Iran, with the infrastructure about 18000 m2 have been evaluated. Considering the average monthly electricity consumption, it was observed that more than 12% of bills cost is related to lighting systems. After lux metering, simulation by DIALUX software and calculation it was observed that in most spaces the light intensity was higher than standard levels. In the next step, the spaces which had surplus lighting system have been redesigned based on standard light intensities, with DIALUX software; and the number of excess systems was determined. There were about 10,000 lamps and it was observed that about 32% of them are additional. Finally, in order to optimize the lighting condition of the buildings, four proposed solution including removing of excess lamps (delamping), use of LED lighting systems, use of electronic ballasts and Lighting management and control system were evaluate from technical and economical viewpoint and then were prioritized. Finally a guideline offered for energy auditing of lighting systems.
