The use of microorganisms for the synthesis of nanoparticles is in the limelight of modern nanotechnology. Here in this study, using the bacterium Bacillus Subtillus, first the biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles were reviewed then optimized concentration of silver nitrate solution is determined and finally the effect of silver nitrate concentration on size of biosynthesized nanoparticles is investigated. These silver nanoparticles were characterized by UV–Vis spectroscopy, particle size analysis (PSA) and Xray diffraction (XRD). The nanoparticles range from 2 -30nm and exhibited maximum absorbance at about 400- 440 nm in UV–Vis spectroscopy.
