For many decades, many researchers have been attracted to entrepreneurship. There have beenalmost numerous definitions of entrepreneurship as there have been many authors on the subject.Entrepreneurship has been mentioned as an important component for the economic development(Volkmann, 2006). Women plays outstanding role for the development of economy. AGCCcountries’ women (Arab Gulf Cooperation Council consisting of Oman, Saudi Arabia, UAE,Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait) were no exception and increasingly they are turning intoentrepreneurship at extraordinary rates. Oman has a considerable number of womenentrepreneurs in the male conquered Arab society. More research is required to understandvarious characteristic of the women entrepreneurship. The participation of women entrepreneursdepends on their performance, which could get affected by the major facilitators and barriers.The main purpose of this research is to get a thorough and deep understanding of womenentrepreneurship in Oman and the challenges faced by them.
